Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we've done

• Every page can be used with a keyboard, including the menus, and starts with a “Skip to content” link.
• Links and buttons show a clear outline when they have keyboard focus.
• Text and link colors were chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast.
• Images carry text descriptions; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, the homepage's moving background and the logo animation hold still.
• Pages use real headings, lists and landmarks, so they can be navigated by structure.
• The layout adapts to phones and to zoomed text without scrolling sideways.

What we know isn't perfect yet

• Some older PDF forms and handouts were created years ago and may not work well with screen readers.
• Online booking, forms, the patient portal, maps and videos are provided by other companies, and we can't fully control how accessible they are.
• Some older articles include images that contain text.
