What is QEEG Brain Mapping?

Brain mapping collects information about the electrical activity(measured in Hz) throughout the whole brain via specialized caps, hardware, and software. The electrical data collected from an individual brain map is compared to the electrical data of hundreds of other individuals without complaints or concerns in mood, attention, or cognitive dysfunction. Brain mappings provide electrical information about how a person feels, handles stress, is able to pay attention, cognitive function, and other stress and mood disorders such as anxiety or depression. Brain mapping sets a foundation for possible treatment with Neurofeedback as it can describe areas of dysfunction or dysregulation that reduce optimal functioning and communication between the millions of nerve pathways of the brain.
