Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a tried and studied treatment that uses a pressurized hyperbaric chamber to increase solubility and saturation of oxygen, producing as a result, free O2 molecules which more easily spread through the body and most importantly to low oxygen tissues or organs. This higher pressure allows the 100% pure oxygen to pierce deeper into the body, reaching organs that typically are not as greatly benefited from normal respiration. The pressure within the hyperbaric chamber is minimally three times greater than normal atmospheric pressure (i.e., higher than 1 atmosphere absolute). The medical benefits of this therapy are varied, but when used in conjunction with other proven methods, hyperbaric therapy can become a powerful supplemental tool to help treat acute and chronic issues.
