US Biotek GI Microbiome Panels

The GI profiles offered by US BioTek provide a thorough functional evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract. The overview of the gut microbiome, immune functions, digestion and absorption provided by the US BioTek GI Profiles may provide clinical insights and improve patient outcomes. Indications for stool analysis may include:  motility issues such as loose stools, constipation, digestive symptoms such as gas, bloating, indigestion, carbohydrate sensitivity, food intolerance or allergy, foul breath, blood or mucous in stools, history of antibiotic use, history of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), autoimmune or allergic responses including joint pain, skin conditions, suspicion of parasites with symptoms of anal itching, nutritional deficiencies (malabsorption), and behavior or mood disorders. US BioTek offers 3 options. The basic may be a good option for reassessment following a individualized microbiome protocols. When first doing an evaluation the standard or advanced profiles are recommended. The major difference between the standard and advance profile is the culturing of the stool to evaluate for sensitivities to prescription and herbal antibiotics for a deeper treatment of bad yeasts and bacteria that may be growing in the gut.
