East Valley Naturopathic Doctors is excited to announce that Dr. Jennifer Nevels and Dr. Carrie Rittling will be starting a blog specifically on topics that are related to clean living.  They will be discussing personal experiences as well as data about why it is important to be choosy about your food consumption, water, beauty products, deodorant, cookware, cleaning products, etc. as it can negatively impact your health as well as those around you. We hope that the information provided will empower you to make small changes to fit your current lifestyle, and greater strides towards a healthier you and world.

While we are not financially backing any of the products mentioned in this blog, studies have shown that while making simple life style changes with the information presented, it can lead to a healthier you. About Dr. Jennifer Nevels and Dr. Carrie Rittling

  • Dr. Jennifer Nevels is a licensed naturopathic medical doctor in the state of Arizona.  She is a general family practitioner, specializing in women’s health. She primarily focuses on patient care at one of the largest naturopathic medical centers in East Mesa.  Dr. Nevels received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in 2003 after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Psychology at the University of Arizona.  After obtaining her doctorate she completed a year residency specializing in women’s medicine.  Dr. Nevels is an educator by nature. She is a professor of gynecology at SCNM, lectures to health professionals as well as the public.  She has been featured on Channel 3 News, as an expert on various women’s health concerns. Her publications include magazines such as Taste of Life, Delicious Living and Woman’s World Magazine.   She feels passionate about educating others on the environment’s effect on health and continues to do post-graduate education on this topic.
  • Dr. Carrie Rittling is also a licensed naturopathic medical doctor in the state of Arizona. She specializes in treating many childhood conditions including Adolescent Depression and Anxiety, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorders and Autism spectrum disorders.  Dr. Rittling received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2007 after receiving her Bachelors of Science at Buffalo State University.  She is a Defeat Autism Now! (DAN) physician, which led to her passion about educating patients about the environment’s effects on their health and development.  Dr. Rittling has also authored a vegan cookbook, Deliciously Vegan.

EVND is also excited to announce that in addition to the blogs, we will be offering a free monthly lecture series one Saturday a month.  We will kick off our first Clean Living Lecture Series on Saturday April 9th from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. We will update you on details soon and look forward to having you be a regular contributor to our blog.
