Cold and Flu Prevention for Adults

By October 21, 2014June 11th, 2015No Comments

The cold and flu season is upon us and for some it has already begun. There are different ways to approach any viral or bacterial infection but the more pro-active approach you take the better. Some important preventative tips are: getting a good night’s sleep, eating a balanced diet with minimal processed food and sugars, drinking plenty of water and minimizing stress with exercise and proper sleep.

Here are a few tips to keep you as healthy as possible this year:
1- Monthly Myer’s IVs. The Myer’s IVs contains Vitamin C, B12, B6, B5, B complex, calcium, magnesium, zinc and selenium in combination designed to boost your immune system while offering many other health benefits. IVs are a great way to bi-pass the digestive system and deliver these nutrients right to the cells and tissues that need them. We recommend Myer’s IV 1-2 x month starting in October and extending into Spring.

2- Supplements Suggestions:
• ViraCon: The herbs in this formula are potent immune system enhancers and help us fight against viral invaders. ViraCon should be taken at much higher doses at the first sign of the flu or colds.  For prevention: 1-2 capsules 2 x day
• C +Bio Fizz: This supplement contains 2500 mg of Vitamin C per teaspoon. For prevention: Add ½- 1 tsp in water daily to boost your immunity.
• Vitamin D is essential for supporting your immune system so be sure to take the dose recommended by your physician.
• Be consistent with your physician prescribed remedies.

If you end up catching a cold or flu despite your best efforts than it is recommended that you schedule an appointment with your doctor immediately for a proper diagnosis and individualized treatment. The sooner we address your illness we lower the likelihood of it lingering longer.
