We know how important it is to you to stay healthy, especially during this unprecedented season. We offer some general recommendations in order to help you be proactive to avoid or thwart an infection more quickly. Below are some recommendations, but none of it can replace an appointment with the doctor when you are very ill or fail to improve. Other key considerations include: Eat healthily, drink plenty of fluids, get good rest, manage your stress and wash your hands!
ADULTS
Dose the following nutrients daily for improving natural immune resistance:
- Vitamin A liquid 3000mcg(10,000iu)/drop: loading dose is 10 drops per day for 3 days, then reduce to 1 drop daily as preventative, can be toxic if taking high doses too long. (do not use in pregnancy)
- OR Vitamin A softgels 7500mcg(12,500 IU): loading dose is 8 softgels per day for 3 days then reduce to 1 softgel daily as preventative
- Vitamin C: Dose between 1000-3000mg per day possibly in divided dose(decrease dose if getting loose stools or diarrhea )
- Vitamin D3 5,000iu capsule: Loading dose is 2 capsules once daily for 2 weeks, then once daily as preventative until season ends
- Zinc: Dose one capsule daily of 25-50mg
Dose on of the following immune support supplements when concern for higher risk is present or when others are ill around you:
- Viracon 1-2 capsules 2 times daily with higher dosing if starting to feel ill
- OR Viral Immune: 1 capsule 2-3 times a day
- OR Sinatrol 2 capsules once daily (can increase to 2 capsules 2-3 times a day if feeling ill) Consider other IV therapies:
- Immune Booster IV 1-2 x monthly through the cold and flu season
IV and injection therapies:
- Immune Booster injection 2 x month through cold and flu season
- Immune Booster IV 2 x month through cold and flu season
Consider for Flu prevention:
- Oscillococcinum (OTC) 1 vial 1 x week x 6 weeks
CHILDREN
Dose the following nutrients daily for improving natural immune resistance:
- Vitamin C: 500-1000mg per day, in divided doses, decrease dose if getting loose stool or diarrhea
- Vitamin D3 Liquid: loading dose is 5 drops once daily for 5 days, then reduce down to 2000 IU(1 drop) daily as preventative.
- Vitamin A liquid 3000mcg(10,000iu)/drop: loading dose is 2 drops per day for 3 days, then stop, can be toxic if taking high doses too long. Safe continuous daily dose is 1000-3000 IU per day for children. (do not use in pregnancy)
- Zinc: 5-30mg once daily
- Elderberry syrup: 1 tsp 2-3 times a day
Dose on of the following immune support supplements in children over 80lbs, who can swallow capsules, when concern for higher risk is present or when others are ill around you:
- Viracon 1 capsules 2 times daily
- OR Viral Immune: 1 capsule 2 times a day
Consider for Flu prevention:
- Oscillococcinum (OTC) 1 vial 1 x week for 6 weeks
