Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Joint Injections
Aging, damaged, painful or arthritic joints naturally regenerate with injections of Platelet Rich Plasma into intra-articular joints as well as the supporting structure of tendons and ligaments. Plasma is isolated from the patient’s own blood to produce a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) which, when injected into damaged or painful areas, stimulates the body’s natural healing processes to improve function and eliminate pain. This program of joint regeneration optimally occurs over time with multiple injections completed every 2-4 weeks. This package includes 4 sessions, with the option to add additional sessions at package rates if needed. Patients often desire to add stem cell therapy to enhance the regenerative benefits of PRP which we recommend after showing a positive response to previous PRP treatments. We are able to provide both autologous or fat isolate stem therapy or umbilical sourced stem cell therapy. Please contact our office for current pricing and options for Stem Cell therapy.
SINVISC® Injections for Knee Pain
When considering injections for osteoarthritis, Sinvisc® provides a viable option to lubricate the knee, resulting in reduced knee pain. Results can last up to 6 months. The injection contains a gel-like mixture made from a substance call hyaluronan that comes from chicken combs. Hyaluronan is a natural substance found in the body and is present in high amounts in joints. The body’s own hyaluronan acts like a lubricant and a shock absorber in the joint and is needed for the joint to work properly. Synvisc is a single dose treatment that is injected directly into your knee by a doctor. To watch a video of a real patient’s injection, click here.
Amniotic Membrane OR Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells for Treatment of Tendinopathy, Arthritis, and Osteoarthritis
Chronic tendon or joint pain may benefit from multiple therapies which inject fluids of varying proteins into tendons, ligaments, or intraarticular joint spaces, including PRP, Synvisc®, or Stem Cells. The amniotic membranes of developing embryo, that is, amnion (innermost lining) and chorion (a layer next to it), have the properties with significant potential for healing soft tissue such a ligaments, tendons, and improving even joint spaces resulting in a reduction in joint pain. Sources of human-derived tissue providing growth factors includes amniotic membrane tissue. In addition, umbilical cord tissue isolates provide Mesenchymal Stem Cells for injection without the difficulty of harvesting Stem Cells from a patient’s own fat cells.
Adipose-Derived Stem Cell (ADSC) Therapy for Joints
Adipose-derived stem cell therapy delivers the same day, millions of your own harvested stem cells into aging or damaged joints and ligaments, including ankles, knees, hips, and areas of the back and neck. The ADSC harvesting and delivery procedure includes a “mini” liposuction to harvest adipose tissue for stem cell isolation and concentration. Later the same day, the stem cells are reintroduced by injection in intra-articular and extra-articular joints and ligaments. These injections are similar to the way PRP injections are delivered, except that free, viable stem cells are delivered into and around damaged joints, ligaments, or tendons. Stem Cells are significantly more potent and active regenerators of old and damaged cells when compared to other natural regenerative therapies such as Synvisc or PRP.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Facial Rejuvenation (Micropen™/Microneedling Collagen Induction Therapy)
Naturally aging and sun damaged skin is regenerated by introducing Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) into the upper dermal layers of the face, neck, hands or stretch marks. Platelet-rich plasma is an excellent stimulator of the natural healing process required to maintain a healthy vibrant complexion. PRP is derived and prepared from the patient’s own blood. It is then delivered, using a device that creates microscopic openings, in the skin for the PRP to penetrate into the dermis and stimulate collagen and stem cell activity. The most common application areas include the face, scalp, hands and surgical scars or wounds. This combined treatment has shown beautiful results for acne, normal aging, wrinkles, stretch marks and scars. This package includes 3 sessions to be done every 4-6 weeks. Treatment for acne in teenagers is reduced to $250/session. For acne, we recommend participating in our gut permeability program at the same for maximum benefit.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Facial Rejuvenation by Cannula
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is also used to rejuvenate specific areas of the faces by injecting PRP through a small cannula under the skin. A cannula is a blunt needle that slides under the skin’s surface allowing for placement of PRP into the desired areas while minimizing bruising. Deficits under the eye, following in the temples, and the loss of volume in the cheeks are some desired areas for treatment. For enhanced surface improvements this treatment can be combined with Micropen™ and also dermal fillers for volume restoration. This package includes 3 sessions to be done every 4-6 weeks. (Micropen and dermal fillers add additional costs.) PRP via cannula followed by micro-needling with PRP in the same visit create a synergistic effect.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Scalp and Hair Rejuvenation (Micropen™)
For Hair loss and hair thinning, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is injected into the scalp to stimulate the hair follicle strength. In addition to injections, Micropen™ with PRP topically assists with the stimulation of the hair follicle. PRP is derived and prepared from the patient’s blood. It is then delivered using a device that creates microscopic openings in the skin for the PRP to penetrate into the dermis and stimulate collagen and stem cell activity. This package includes 3 sessions to be done every 4-8 weeks.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Facial Rejuvenation with Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
The awareness of stem cell therapies have increased recently and have lead to the introduction of the “The Vampire Facelift”. The Vampire Facelift is the same procedure and application as the platelet-rich plasma injections for facial rejuvenation with the addition of standard fillers. The Vampire Facelift combines the use of a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler( i.e. Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane) with platelet-rich plasma(PRP) derived from the patient’s own blood. Hyaluronic acid is a substance already present in your body. It is found everywhere but it is essential to joints, skin and neural tissue. It is key in the hydration of human tissue. The hyaluronic acid based dermal filler will replace lost volume to the structure of the face, with improvement in the appearance of jowls, nasolabial folds, and elevation of the corners of the mouth. The platelet-rich portion has growth factors that stimulate healing of the connective tissue layer that support the dermis in addition to turning on stem cells that begin to restore and rebuild tissue toward its once youthful state. There are no foreign substances placed in the body for this procedure making it a perfect ‘natural’ rejuvenation. The combination of both PRP and Hyaluronic acid or other dermal filler, to create the Vampire Facelift into a single treatment, produces synergistic results that are superior to any single treatment. The Vampire Facelift is perfect for those starting to show signs of aging and particularly for those who do not want or necessarily need a surgical facelift. The combination of the Vampire Facelift with Botox or Xeomin provide the best combination to reverse and reduce the progression of normal aging of the face. This package includes 2 sessions to be done as determined by your physician.
* Botox or Xeomin add additional costs based on units required
Natural Adipose Scalp Rejuvenation for Hair Loss
Adipose tissue derived from a “mini’ liposuction is micronized into very small particles that can replace the natural loss of fat in the scalp. The fat replacement is known as ALMI or Autologous Lipocyte Micronized Injection. It is an all-natural, minimally invasive treatment that uses your own cells and tissues. Studies have shown that the loss of fat in the scalp is associated with age-related hair loss. The addition of other growth factors such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), combined with the micronized fat particles, naturally stimulate the stem cells in the scalp while enhancing the network for nutrient uptake. It has also been shown to be useful in stimulating hair-growth by rejuvenating deficient and inactive hair follicles.
Natural Adipose Face or Hand Rejuvenation
As we age, collagen production slows down, facial fat pads atrophy and facial bones change resulting in volume and support structure loss. When this happens more wrinkles and sagging of the skin is seen with complaints of jowls, double chins and a loss of a well-defined jawline. With volume loss in the hands, vessels and bones become prominent compounded by overlying thinning skin. Adipose-derived from a “mini’ liposuction is micronized into very small particles that can act as your own tissue derived, natural, non-synthetic filler and collagen stimulator known as ALMI (Autologous Lipocyte Micronized Injection). ALMI is all-natural, because it uses your own cells and tissues, rather than synthetic fillers, to restore a more youthful appearance, improving volume, texture and tone all without surgery. The combination of growth factors, through isolation of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with the micronized fat particles, naturally stimulate the stem cells in the face or skin while enhancing the supply network for enhanced nutrient uptake.
