Although the diagnosis of andropause is usually based primarily on presenting symptoms, testing of hormones and other simple blood tests are often helpful to determine the nature and severity of andropause and to rule out other more serious or confounding conditions. 

Common symptoms of andropause include, but are not limited to:

Mental decline – irritability, depression, anxiety

Decline in Libido

Erectile dysfunction – Difficulty attaining/maintaining erections

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)

Fatigue

Weight gain – especially in abdomen     

Loss of muscle mass and muscle weakness
