Dr. Jason Porter, NaturopathyJason Porter is a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor in the state of Arizona. His areas of interest include the addition of natural therapies with chemotherapy and radiation for the treatment of cancer, the use of acupuncture and prolotherapy for chronic pain conditions such as low back pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, and arthritis, natural treatment of depression with concentrated amino acids and yeast-free diets, anti-aging treatments for prevention of heart disease, diabetes, hormonal decline, and detoxification therapies including chelation therapy and glutathione IV therapy for energy and improved immune function.

 

Dr. Porter serves as the director of the East Valley Alternative Cancer Center located at East Valley Naturopathic Doctors. He has received extensive specialty training in alternative cancer therapies including high dose Vitamin C IV Therapy, Chelation Therapy,and Ozone Therapy. Current research in alternative therapies used in conjunction with chemotherapy and radiation show better outcomes in longevity. Simply, those who support and rebuild their immune systems with nature in mind live longer whether or not chemotherapy is present.

 

Considered a specialist in the treatment of chronic pain conditions, Dr. Porters areas of expertise include treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions including fibromyalgia, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, knee pain, low back pain, neck pain, migraines, sports and motor vehicular injuries. Dr. Porter personally provides Acupuncture and Prolotherapy treatments which are known to rebuild tendon and ligament strength and relax trigger points.

 

With a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Arizona State University, he has designed exercise programs for weight loss, rehabilitation, and fitness for hundreds of individuals and incorporates this experience in helping patients achieve their optimal health. This experience enables him to assess and create treatment options for patients with muscular and joint pain that are specific and effective. He utilizes the most effective specialty labs available for understanding the underlying causes leading to and maintaining chronic pain conditions. Specialty testing can include IgG Food Intolerance Testing, Adrenal Function Testing, and Neurotransmitter Testing.

 

Dr. Porter recognizes the significant stress on individuals and families when dealing with chronic neurological disorders including depression, anxiety, parkinson's, dementia, alzheimers, multiple sclerosis, and many others. He specializes in the treatment of many neurological conditions with the use of concentrated amino acids. This therapy can effectively treat and even replace many of the current anti-depressants which often are, or become ineffective. Additional benefits have been realized with yeast-free diets, avoidance of neurotoxins, chelation of heavy metals and chemicals, and improvement in anti-oxidant pathways. Dr. Porter is a graduate of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Arizona, and a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AzNMA), the Naturopathic Association of Therapeutic Injection (NATI), and the American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM) where he is certified in chelation therapy.  Dr. Porter is also a supervising physician at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine where he teaches Naturopathic Medical Students methods for treatment of chronic pain conditions and disease prevention for longevity and improvement in quality of life.

 

Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, Dr. Porter currently resides in Gilbert, Arizona with his wife of 15 years. He has three active sons, two rambunctious daughters, one daughter-in-law, and one very cute granddaughter.
